500 GRF REGISTRATIONS?

I RECENTLY CHANGED MY GRIFF 500 REGISTRATION TO N500 GRF AND SINCE THEN HAVE SEEN A COUPLE OF OTHER GRIFF'S WITH 500 GRF NUMBERS, J500 & M500 I RECALL (DON'T KNOW IF THEY WERE 5.0 LITRES) AND WOULD BE INTERESTED TO KNOW HOW MANY 500 GRF REGISTRATIONS I CAN TRACK DOWN AND WHAT BETTER PLACE TO DO IT THAN HERE! HOPE YOU CAN HELP AS THEORETICALLY I THINK THERE COULD BE A MAXIMUM OF 23??? AT THE MOST (IN AN EXTREME CASE) AND MAYBE I COULD TALK DEREK SMITH INTO DOING A SHORT PIECE WITH SOME PIC'S OF THE CARS FOR SPRINT?

I'm sure that reg was on yellow griff ealier this year .... as was considering looking at it.... and knocking the plate out to off set the money I could not really afford for the car....

I had J500 GRF on my first Griff 500 and sold the registration on when the car was traded in for my first Cerbera. The car was featured on the front of TVR's Performance Track Days brochure.

Yes, the N500 GRF plate was on a car owned by TVRCC member Jim Newton and I sold N500 ROB to replace it. Don't know the colour of the car.

Thanks for the reply re: J500 GRF have seen it a lot in sprint, etc... Where is it now? Hope it's on a Griff!

Tried to get GRF, some bugger already nicked it. Being a 92 Model, didn't have many other choices. And yes it is a 500.

How come you have the old nose? Did 500's eve come with those or have you swapped the enigine?

Engine, gearbox and axle from a 2001 donor Chimaera

1992 Pre-cat 2001 de-catted Serp 5.0 ltr, best of both worlds

And as for George Best ....feel free to take your Wayne Rooney (the younger talent is there but the looks need a bit of attention) and I'll meet you at the nearest circuit to battle it out.

GRF registrations are the norm round here. Its an original Stoke number plate.

Always make me think of stopping people and asking them to sell......

Hi everyone, I'm the proud owner of J500 GRF. Yes it's on a Formula Red 500 Griff. I've owned the car which came with the late for about 4 years now. The car is pictured with it's original plate which is 'M' reg in a book 'Greatest British Sports Cars'.

Great and welcome to my, at present, very select club. Am waiting to hear from the TVRCC as to cars on their register with 500 GRF plates but at present it seems that it's just you and me!

I agree that the plates do look really good on the Griff and maybe I should get addresses from you and J500 GRF and contact Derek Smith to set up a photo shoot in the new year for SPRINT.
