As no-one is responding in the top Growl 2006 thread any preference on a date. I hav 2 at the mo - 5/6 Aug and 12/13. This is linked to the pub down the road being able to offer a BBQ which was the only let down from 2005 Growl (BBWF guys are doing the same).
Appreciate people will be booking hols soon so want to fix the date asap.
I need to get back to them very early Jan as they have a pig roast they need to fix a date for too.
I will be away from 22/12 until 10/01 with no access to the interweb.

Hope you and the Griff are on the mend.
I've sent an e-mail to Jeremy (TVRCC events) who is coordinating all dates. Not sure when racing dates are all to be announced but as there isn't much TVR racing anyway not really too much of an issue.
You can turn up unless you want to eat which will be pre booked at least 14 days in advance.

I'm not sure what I'm doing for christmas let alone August!!
But at this stage either date is fine for me. and yes I agree with whats been said I think the pub would be a better place for the evening doo.. better beer, cheaper prices and a good BBQ/hog roast would cap it off well..
This years was great I wouldn't want to change anything else..

I think that's best, then it can go in the diaries and be planned for.

I think if you book it now based on what ever the current consensus is (second week
), and be damned. lets face it, it's a long way away and some people will no doubt be disappointed which ever date you choose.

Just spoke to Ettington Chase and they are free 4th/5th August but have a provisional on the 12th/13th for 40 rooms which would only leave 40 rooms available.
I suspect the 1st weekend would clash with the Polo do but I can't confirm at the moment so my preference was the second week. If I can block 60 rooms then they will reduce the rooms for the provisional.
I am on holiday from tomorrow and not back until the 10th so it would need to be follwoed up - maggit - would you do the honours please?
Rooms £60 double B&B and you only need to get a reservation umber (pay on the day) so please book early to avoid disappointment.

FFG/Maggitt - work permitting I will also offer my services to help out with the organisation. I will give you a shout in the new year on that if I may. I live in Sutton Coldfield so its a good excuse to go across the A5 and down the Fosse way if a site visit is required.
