Castor angle

Can the castor angle be adjusted on a standard griff?I've just had the camber and tracking done on mine,but the guys didn't have any more time to make any more adjustments.I noted that although not far out,the rear toe and the castor could be improved slightly.I know you can adjust the rear toe,but can't recall wheather you can do the castor on the front?

The castor on the front is set by the shims plate fitted by the top ball joint.
Pretty sure it fits to the front of the ball joint in the wishbone, suppose if you really wanted to adjust it you could get different combinations of shims , totalling the original and move it around, but not read of anyone doing it.

hi mike,

think its done with washers at the top, either side of the kingpin/balljoint.

mines got the adjustable tubular wishbones from www.TVRcarparts.com

i run std caster anyway.

The cars coming along quite well i guess.I've been struggling a bit with my suspension though.Trying to find the best compromise for a fast road set up has proved more complex than i first thought.I've had plenty of help from Jools,which has saved my sanity,and now i'm just about at the stage to make one more and final spring change,more to do with length than poundage really,then i should be there!I've been very pleased with the mods that v8d have done,and i've got a catless manifold and 'y' piece to go on first thing in the new year,just to finish things off nicely I'm not sure what to do after thatCheers,Mike
