Bleeding brakes - does order matter?

Hello

I want to bleed my brakes. Does it matter which order you bleed them in?

I remember when I did the brakes on my MX-5, I had to do them in a particular order. Does this apply to the Griff / Chimaera?

I believe you do them in decreasing order of distance from the master cylinder - but that's a rule of thumb rather than TVR gospel. See if anyone else says anything different!

Thanks, Griffter, for this and your other response. That's how I did it on my previous car. Probably best to do it that way, unless anyone else has any ideas...

No different ideas, always started on the one furthest from the resevoir on my cars too.

Had a quick squiz at the Banana just now. Looks pretty sooper dooper. Superb colour - I like the yellow and orange Griffs.

I bought a Gunsons Eezi-bleed kit to do mine - it says in the instructions to do the furthest from the master cylinder first etc.

It's absolutely critical that you start with the furthest away and work back. However, doing them in any other order works just as well.

Put it another way, in practice the only thing that matters is that you bleed every caliper at least once.
