My Gemini alarm is on its way out, and I am looking at replacing it with a Toad AI606 Alarm. I would prefer to tackle the task myself, unless anyone knows of a company with Griffith experience in the Warks area?

I am replacing my dashboard soon, and would like to replace the alarm at the same time.

Is there any chance someone out there has the wiring diagram (connections) for the original Gemini alarm system.

It would be a great help in identifying the wires for the new alarm.

I don't have a wiring diagram, but the only thing that isn't obvious is that the alarm powers a relay behind the dash that in turn supplies power to the fuel guage.

I have done exactly what you are proposing. (My old one was a Meta not a Gemini though...) A nice easy job, all but installing the pestiferous pin switches in the bonnet and boot.

Email me if you want any pointers.

Just put my griff back on the road for the summer, had cracking drive yesterday and went to Biggin Hill to watch the air show.

Car wouldn't start (gosh how some people sniggered - busy pub car park -but also what a lot of nice folks who helped - jump leads, battery pack) - no fuel pump priming, no immobiliser winking light when it should be, no cranking from starter motor.

Fernhurst diagnose alarm/immobiliser unit failure from symptoms over phone (thanks to Simon & Graham who were very helpful as always) - I think they are right but I'm not a auto-electrician and they haven't actually seen car - any opinions?

If it is that, I believe it is behind dash, so will need to remove. Is the Meta unit a "plug'n'play" thing? Where do I get one - Live SE London/Kent region.

Will be tackling this with mechanic friend - any info as to location of unit, potential snags, "how to..." and wiring diagram would be much appreciated.

Many thanks, enjoy the sun whilst it shines
