hi, thought i would let you all know, rob from findasportscar did his inspection and the griff was very good, he said it could do with some new engine mounts at the next service, it needs 1 new wheel and the diff input seal and bushes are ok for now but to keep an eye on them and replace when nescesary, he thought this would be roughly a £500 or £600 job from an independant, other than that he said the car was very good, engine and chassis were fine so i said i would take it, the guy whos buying my bike is coming down on friday evening so if everything goes to plan i will pick it up on saturday.
good man but your well excited now roll on the weekend. 
thanks guys im really looking forward to it,at least i have a couple of days to try and get my insurance down, im really nervous now that the guy whos coming for the bike will not show up,even though hes called me everyday to make sure im still keeping it for him which is a good sign he really wants it,now i just have to work the car out as i havent a clue where the lights are,how to put the roof up and down, how to open the bonnet or indeed the boot, ive driven one briefly but havent put my foot down yet, and i dont intend on trying or doing anything stupid, also i know they have to run on super unleaded right?,and can anyone tell me what is normal running temp and oil pressure?, sorry for the questions, no doubt there will be a couple more over the next week or so but i thank you for your time in advance.

Having had my Griffith for just over a year I can fully empathise with some of your "how to" comments so I thought I'd answer some to help you get settled in and start enjoying the experience of Griffith ownership. Oh, Welcome to the club by the way.
Dashboard buttons. There are 6, in a 3,2,1 configuration from right to left and they are:
Side Lights, Dipped Beam (only when Side Lights are on though), Rear Fog.
Boot Release, Lock the Doors (this also illuminates a small light to the left of the switch when operated)
Hazards.
Oh btw, there is nothing on my car to warn me I've left my lights on
I get around this by hanging something on the handbrake if I put the lights on in the day.
The bonnet release is by your right knee and you open the bonnet by lifting and pulling backwards gently at the windscreen end until it wont lift any more (about 8inches open), then go to the front of the car and use both hands to lift the bonnet open past the lip of the clamshell and prop it open (that bits obvious)
Be careful when you are lifting it at the front, mine can catch the passenger wiper sometimes.
Closing is the reverse obviously and you can expect to have to lean on the catch by the drivers side wiper to make it click and lock.
Temp on mine runs at about 85 but I've got the Modwise fan conversion which has lowered it from about 90
You will quickly learn what temp yours runs at the but best advice I can give is if it hits red pull over and stop ASAP.
Oil, mine sits just under the half way mark but fluctuates with revs. Even half a litre of oil can make a big difference to the pressure so I make sure I check oil (& water) very regularly. Most cars use some oil, especially if using Mobil 1 0-40 Synthetic as its so thin.
Water level - Don't fill above 1" from the top of the swirl tank. I use my big finger to see if I can feel water in there and add some slowly if I can't. Mine doesn't use water though.
Yes, they do run on super unleaded. Mine seems to prefer Shell but who the hell knows.
£35 is about the maximum to fill it and you will very quickly get to know the BP & Shell stations in your area
The hood is simple, from the inside, pull the ali hood stays and the back will come away from the top. The top will stay in position at just the windscreen end. Lift the top from the rear and it will just lift out. Its quite light but also quite a good sail so watch out if its windy. This goes into the boot carbon fibre side out and front edge down. I wont spoil your fun by explaining how though
Before you put the back of the roof down, place a thin towel across the plastic window to stop it rubbing against iteelf and scratching.
Loosen the velcro on each side of the car, inside and out then lower the back ensuring the window section rolls rather than creases - especially close to the stays.
Thats all folks. Hope its some help, enjoy your new toy but be careful until things dry up a bit and warn your friends you will be grinning like an idiot for the next couple of weeks.

All I could add would be drive it VERY carefully until you start getting used to it, then drive it carefully, especially in the wet and cold. Some driving training, especially if you've not driven a powerful RWD car before should also be high on the list of "to do" things.
Join the Club, as has been said before, get "the Bible" from Steve Heath, take your time getting used to the car, and see you at the Growl.

We only got our Griff in May last year but have been really pleased with the events we have attended (hope to do more this year) and the people we have met...except for this dodgy geezer from the West Country who followed us round last years Growl

Oh as everyone has advised beware of the beast but we have had 8 months of trouble free motoring by driving sensibly - its by no means "driving Miss Daisy" for us but you quickly learn the capabilities/limitations. Someone said to me that the accelerator os not an 'On-Off' switch and that is a pretty good thing to remember. We have also now bought a Ride Drive session so things should get even better...

Congratulations mate, where are you picking the car up from? I can guarantee you'll take the long way home and have a cheshire grin the whole way. Do take it easy though as even when the roads are dry they're still not too grippy at the moment due to all the salt.

i was told he was very good, hes certainly spoken of highly from what ive heard on here.
im picking the car up from near new por tor gwent i forget which but i cant wait, as soon as he guy has come to collect my bike tomorrow i will be even more excited as i know im getting it the next day, to add thanks for the advice on the controls and how to put the top down, although something tells me i wont need to in this weather!!!!!.
i wonder if i will be able to manage to get home on 1 tank of petrol if i drive at 70 down the M4?.
i dont have any intention on testing the cars limitations or doing anything stupid in it, i will just be happy to have it, and i know they need to be respected and understood.
i start a new job on monday so i doubt i will have to get as much driving done over the weekend as i can.

No such thing as a griff thats a shed,some are just more 'enjoyed' than others,and have the battle scars to prove it!Your really going to enjoy the drive home.If you take the old severn bridge route,then coming back after the Magor junction,the motorway is usually very quiet until after the bridge itself

i meant going on the way there, i will be going up there in a shed and my friend will drive that back, obviously i will be driving the griff
