Front bottom ball joint - part no/source?

Brother's Griff 500 has just failed its MOT due to the offside front bottom ball joint needing replacing. A certain TVR specialist in the South West wants £300 for the whole suspension assembly which we think might be a little steep as the rest of it is fine, (just ned the joint).

Anyone know the part number or a source in Devon/Cornwall?

Rumour has it that it's a from a Lada, but if I were you I'd buy the replacement through a TVR specialist/dealer. There are plenty around to choose from.

Yep as the LADA ones that are currently around do not fit the wishbone as the mounting has changed. No problem for Ladas bit of a gotcha for TVRs.

I went to a TVR dealer, they had none in stock. They suggested I buy Lada ones from my local motor factor. After fettling with a file they fit fine.

I'd be wary buying the lada ones,besides having to redrill the holes as they are a couple of mm out,the bottom's are bell'ed and not a snug fit as the original's.
