i just got made to look extremly stupid

by a guy in an Evo FQ?, it was either a 400 or wasnt standard that thing was fast, hat off to the bloke driving it , still kind of embarassing though anyone give any advice about how to get bit more power from the engine?

The FQ 400 is about 405BHP so would waste pretty much all TVR's

The FQ300 is 305 bhp.

ive driven a 300 and it definatly wasnt one, i think it was either a modded 320/340 or a 400 i got away a little quicker but when his car was revving he was just unquestionably there which leads me to think it could have been an FQ400 as ive heard they suffer from turbo lag a bit but when it spools up they go balistic.

A lot of them are not standard and they are very good at putting the power down, particularly with the slippery roads at the moment.

I did look at a 330 BHP Impreza Spec C, before buying the Vectra and it was bloomin quick car.

Don't under-estimate these Jap 4x4 saloons Even my mildly adjusted STi 5 will out drag my Griff to 100. Hopefully this will change when the mods are done in the Griff...

Evo FQ 400 is, in fact, the fastest-accelerating saloon to have ever come from a major manufacturer: 0-60mph takes 3.5 seconds, including a flat-throttled gearshift, 100 takes 9.1 and, all out, it'll do more than 175. Courtesy 4Car roads tests.

Why? The computers drive it (which is why I dont have one), the bloke just points and presses. And even then some get it wrong!

it was only a quite friendly thing on a open speed limit dual carrigeway with absolutly no other traffic around, it was straight with 1 swooping bend and the road was dry, i wouldnt have said it was a race really at all we just both went quickly and he went quicker, we wernt trying to entice each other into racing it was just a long straightish empty roads and we both took advantage of or respective cars performance, im not stupid enough to get wound up by a car going quicker i was previously just stating that those top spec Evos are bloody fast!!!!!, i agree modded scoobs,evos skylines etc can beore are quicker than a standard Tvr especially off the line but i wouldnt be as sure about the Audi in standard trim at least.

Power is great. Power with the lid off
