Griff Insurance

Hi All,
My Griff insurance is due in two week's
My best quote is about £450.

Is that the going rate for about 3k per year?

I have 9 year's NCB for my baby, no accidents etc etc
cat 1 Tracker etc and i am sorry to say i am a young 42 year's

Any other places i can try ?

There's been some noises recently about trying Privelege on the Tuscan forum.

I haven't tried them for my TVR yet, but they just undercut my renewal on the Eurobox by £40!

My griff insurance is due in march so i tried the tvr club's broker who quoted less than £360 and i have currently 6 points on my licence.....I will move my business to them on renewal,why don't you give them a try,their name is on the back of the sprint mag.

I use Peart...which is comparable. Somebody used Mannings through the TVRCC and got a good deal recently (check the thread on the TVRCC site....)

Mannings btw - provided you have 1 years exprience in hp cars (IIRC)

Manning offer a good deal, but you have to join TVRCC (that is no bad thing). You get cover for TVR track days chucked in. I got a very competitive quote from SAGA (oh dear!)

Best quote I've had (just last week) was Sunninghills at a touch over 500, including track days and 6000 miles pa. I'm not old enough for SAGA yet!

This year Privilege came out WAY cheaper than all others, including Mannings (thru` TVRCC) who`d previously been unbeatable.

Too much of course, but £570, fully comp, daily driver, 8K annual mileage. Sounds a lot, but was by far the best for my specific case. I had no official NCD but they took my previous clean record with Mannings & classic insurance on previous cars and translated it into NCD, which was nice. Got complimentary Privilege tax disc holder too.

Hi All,
Cheer's for all the help and advice.

Ended up with Manning's at TVRCC paid £408 so quite a saving if you concider my renewal quote was £530 with Footman Janes !
