Have now decided the way forward is bigger wheels and tyres.I have decided on 17's on the front and 18's on the rear.( same as Richb )Just looking for some advice on offsets and rim widths really before I take the plunge.( Yes.. I've read through the other posts and looked at the Griffith pages )The car is a 99 Griff 500 with power steering and
( Allegedly ) 25 mm offset front and 37 mm offset rear.
Fronts ..I'm going for 7.5 x 17 with a 215/40/17 tyre. This keeps the rolling radius the same as the 15's. Opinions for which offset please.
Rears is either 8 x 18 with 235/40/18 tyres ( alters the rolling radius from the original 624mm to 643mm) or 8.5 x 18 with 255/35/18 tyres ( rolling radius 636mm).
Advice on what offsets to use on both these rim widths please and whether they will fit under the arches.Would prefer the 8.5's with 255/35 .If you increase the rolling radius does the speedo read faster or slower ?.
