changed battery now got no electrics!!

hi folks
might be something daft ,...but
couple of months ago battery packed in. managed to get car home and left it!! eventually, today!! got round to changing battery. now all wired up tested polarity and voltage at battery (12.6v) but car has absolutely no electrics. no ignition lights, no little red alarm warning light, stereo, interior lights etc etc.
any ideas?? very frustrated after a cold and complicated afternoon just lining up the battery box bolts!!

I could be talking B*ll*x and probably am, but have you checked the 100 amp fuse?

To have no electrics at all, but a fully charged batt (correctly fitted) I would have thought it must be a major wiring fault such as a disconnected earth?

check the supply to the fusebox from the positive terminal, sometimes this is fitted with afuse sometimes it isn't , if your fuse has gone you'd have the symptoms you described.

On The brown wire,have you got a rectangular block about six inches from the battery positive. If so, thats the main fuse before the fusebox.If you have, open it up and see if the fuse has broken as they get rather hot and become fragile with age.
The fuse under the car would not have any effect with your case.

folks thanks for the rapid response.
checked the 100 amp connection. bit iffy but didnt fix issue.
then checked the fuse mentioned by dingg and dave beer. success. must have dislodged it when pulling out wiring loom causing a crack.
fixed now and car is running again. smiles all round.
the contributors to this site have such a wealth of knowledge.
further....... whilst fitting the battery i also wired up the passenger window with the db special relay configuration mentioned in recent post. works a treat. such speedy window! just got to do the drivers side now!!
