Yes, Modwise kit is excellent, easy to fit and massively improves the everyday useability of the car. I fitted the LED boot light kit too which means you can avoid crushing your eggs with the crate of tinnies when loading your shopping outside the supermarket.
In fact, the kits Modwise have sent me are better still because they're free. Well, free in that I still haven't received the invoice for them. Please take that as another reminder, David!

I thought I would pitch in with my 4P worth!
As Jeffsey says above the discussion is about two very good products from two very knowledgeable fellas.
I have had the TVR_UK kit fitted for about a year now without a problem, and as far as I know these kits are only available if fitted by Carl (but I might be wrong there).
The reason I went for the TVR_UK kit is that Carl was fixing a Gremlin in my META alarm at the time for which he is recognised as being the Guru so I had the boot kit fitted at the same time - simple as that.
I have fitted or had fitted by my local garage various kits from Mod_wise (Brighter lights, Hot start, Twin speed fans etc and the kits in my view could not have been better with respect to delivery, fitting instructions or reliability.
My impression is that these two particular boot kits operate in a very slightly different way in practice which taking all aspects into account may or may not be important to the user.
The TVR_UK kit utilises a small battery operated auxiliary key fob attached to the ignition key ring and will operate even when triggerd whilst still some distance from the car (greater distance than many Griff alarm/immobilisers).
I believe that the Mod_wise kit utilises a small magnet usually placed in a suitable non metallic sleeve attached to the key ring or may be located elsewhere on your person which is then swiped across a sensor which was placed in rear of the car boot area during initial installation.
My impression from reading some other PH threads in the past is that the swiping action needs to be quite close to the hidden sensor and some owners have remarked that after some use they can get slight scuff marks on the body work if they are not careful (but I would guess these would easily polish out unless they happened to 'score an own goal' by making contact with the ignition key first when swiping past the sensor.
My personal view is the word 'better' is subjective and at the end of the day I doubt anyone would be disappointed with either kit.
One factor which is worth mentioning is that I suspect the Mod_wise kit is appreciably cheaper - even when fitted by a third party who charged a reasonable hourly rate for their time.
