Rear Wheel Hub

My Griff has had a fair bit of oil and muck hanging around the rear wheel hub so while we're replacing the suspension bushes we thought we'd whip off the hub and have a look. The hub was a very light fit in the wheel bearing and there are some marks indicating independant rotation of inner race and the hub. How tight should this fit be?

It should just be a slide fit into the bearing.
As you tighten the nut on the shaft, it sets the preload on the taper roller bearings
