that is a lovely looking Griff. would be a shame to see it go to waste!
i think with a bit of time and money that car could be transformed. also seems that at this time of the year more pre-cats come on the market so get in there why you can!

when I was looking for my first Griff 3 years ago I saw a 97 Griff in equally bad condition. It had been left out in all weather for about 18 months to get that bad, so sad to such a beautiful car left to rot like that.
The chassis on this one does sound particularly bad, I was quoted about £5k for a body off chassis restoration so its current bid of around £3.5k would make a good buy for someone

We don't have a garage and 3 years outside and our griff is nowhere near this bad, in fact it is better than most (hope some will agree). Some serious water ingress and a NFI attitude. Guess £8-£10k to spend as it needs a chassis rebuild, interior start again, and with the attitude towards the interior/chassis the rest probably has had no attention either - engine/gearbox/electrics. Barge pole job I reckon.
You can pick up a well looked after pre cat for £10k ish which would be a much better bet.

The problem is now it's on eBay, some idiot will bid way more than its worth, bodge it up and sell it to some poor unsuspecting new owner, who'll then have his suspicions confirmed that TVRs are totally unreliable

In all honesty, as has been previously said, if the structural and interior condition is any indicator of the state of the mechanics, you could be looking at spending £10k+ after the purchase price, which at this moment is standing at £3155, but I'm sure, with 6 days to go, it will go even higher . Not really a bargain, is it?

The one thing that looks in good nick are the dashboard/instruments, which must be a collector's item as so many have cracked up or been thrown away in favour of ally ones.

The dash veneer has peeled to the right of the steering wheel.

I agree with you all though it is a shame, makes you wanna buy it and make the world a better place.
