Well done the Griffs - good show all round and posting times a second or more tha nthe Chims and only marginally behind the Cerbs. Del - surprised you haven't posted yet but he beat Dave Redden and when I left had posted a better time than Andy (guillotene) but I'm sure Andy would ave been there until he bettered Del's time of 12.9...
Del - big respect. Got the power down really well at the start which made all the difference. Not many others got close and just kept wheel spinning. A faster reaction time would have knocked a quarter of a second off your best.

Impressed with Seasiders car.......he seems to have that set-up just right... power to traction etc... and a lunatic at the helm
anyone know how do wipe the smile of Seasiders face..?????... all three times I've met him he has had a wide grin on his face......

in two ways.
1 the tail off in power. i'd suspect that the top end is where the time can be gained with the inducted cars ie gears in traction in holding power down for longer!
2 the next gear revs. if holding second meant straight to max torque thats great...if you hold traction. if not your lunched via wheelspin!
the first is where i caught you ist time out. you pulled three car lenghts clear when i'd done 1 length!!! but i pulled it back by getting the revs right on change to second.
the second was where i and several other modded cars were losing it. we weren't able to use full throttle until the gears were well in (i'm talking 2-3 secs!). this meant we lost all the "punch" we've spent loads of money developing!
I've heard many on PH talking about wheelspin in third. try and make that happen on the motorway. third gear 85mph and floor it. it WON'T spin! mine won't spin! unless its cold/very wet etc. Traction was crap!
technique/experience will cure all of this as seen with paul in the austec tamora.
as you can tell...still really pissed off as we'll have all the cerby boys yawning for another 12 months!

Dont think i'll touch the best times. I was trying to be very understanding with the throttle on the off. (good thing)
After thinking about it, when i lost out to you and others i was holding gears to long so might be able to wipe a few more smiles off some of the (2nd tier) Saloon and UXB6 drivers faces

hangon a mo...corelpaint...12.94secs scrub the 1, tweak the speed = 2.94secs
