Some hopefully usefull Information for all Griff 4,3 Owners

Dear TVRiders,
had some trouble with my 4.3 Griff (built 1993) last year and just wanted to let you some things to now. That because it is extremely hard to get parts for a griff here in germany and ordering parts straight from tvr simply sometimes takes to long. A Griff is a car made for driving and not for "standing around in a garage" - even if it also looks great when then :-)
The "Far-lamps" (hope you all know what i mean) are from a simple BMW E30. Does not matter if from cibie or bosch. Both fitted perfectly.
Due to the fact that the german summer in between and sometimes becomes more and more like an italian summer and i drive my griff as an everydays car, i noticed that my Griff had its fans permamently running in town-traffic-jam (and it has allready two fans, an oil-cooler and everything else is also absolutely ok ). The factory-made problem is the fact, that the cooling air simply runs underneath the cars cooling-system-entries and that there is no spoiler available any more (as offered by mod-wise. A very simple, cheap and also extremely good working thing is the frontspoiler of a VW Golf 1 GTD.
You just have to be a little bit careful on ramps and the spoiler will definitely brake when the car has to be towed. Otherwise the price for the spoiler is just about 5 EUR.
These Days my Griffs fans will be replaced by a fan-system of a bmw E30. this should cool the water down about 6 times as fast as the original fans are able to (as my mechanic sais).
Let´s wait, i´ll tell you more when it´s done.
