I had my Griff called a 'little hairdressers car'. My (Reflex Charcoal) t350c gets 'pretty little toad' which is barely an improvement.

My Z3 was always being called 'pretty'.

Some old chap in the village asked me once after I had driven past him earlier.. 'Do they all sound as course as that' my reply 'NO... some are even louder'

And every time I'm out washing HIM an old dear always walks past and comments on what a lovely looking car and that whenever she sees it, it makes her feel happy..BLESS

Get this: When picking up a particular girl for the first time and she'd seated herself beside me, she turned to me, patted the dash with a hand and exclaimed "I can see why you like your little car". 'Little car??, it's a Griff....it's my Griff and what's more, it has a hoofing great 5 litres up front.........NOW GET OUT!!' Actually I didn't say the last bit coz she's the only peachy girl I've ever had that close to me and dimensionally compared to her X5 I guess it is somewhat humbled.

Oh come on all you lads - wot's wrong with someone calling your car pretty? Isn't it butch enough for ya? A bloke once said my Griff was ugly cos it had a bulbous backside - I just assumed that he had serious eyesight problems and moved on.

I would describe the Griff from some angles as pretty, some angles as beautiful, some as awesome, and all angles as perfect! In fact, I think the Griff is sooo perfect that the Tuscan is gradually morphing back to the Griff shape. So there!!

Nothing wrong with calling something pretty - it is just not an adjective I would apply to a Griff

If I were to talk about women - there are some are think are 'Pretty' and some that I think are 'Beautiful' - there are some that I even think are 'Stunningly Beautiful'

I think the Griff is a 'Stunningly Beautiful' car -I though that when I first saw one back in the early nineties - and I still think so.

I added the simile about the lion and the gazelle because once you get to drive a Griff it shows a completely different side of its character - and you had better treat it with respect – ‘cos if you don’t you might have to face the consequences!!

According to my dictionary, "pretty" means "attractive in a delicate way without being truly beautiful" so I guess it definitely shouldn't be used in this case!
