radiator mountings

I have just put a recored radiator in my griff and am puzzled. The original radiator had a rubber strip down either side but these dont touch the body, also the bottom of the radiator rests on the body and no rubber here. The holes in the body for the locating pins on the radiator would have to be elongated to fit some rubber along the bottom edge. Any help greatfully accepted, John.
