door mirror wiring removal

Anyone know how to get the wiring through the doorskin, it has a plug on each end, I dont want to cut it or use a chainsaw or axe, any help appreciated, John.

I've heard (thought don't know from experience) that the plug won't fit through the hole. If so then your options are:

1) cut the wires
2) remove each individual wire connector from the plastic plug body. If the plug is the type I seem to remember, you do this by slliding out the flat plastic locking piece from the plug and then using a small screwdriver to crush the detents on each connector before pushing them out. Refitting is a reversal of removal...
