Scratched inside of roof panel
Discussion
there is a prob with the under-side (means visible from the driver). this part (as i heard) is really made from carbon fibre (just a layer but nevertheless from real carbon fibre). so, if you have serios scratches in it, there is no real chance to make them "unvisible". have the same prob with my roof and the only idea that could work is to use absolutely clear two component glue. (or lacquer hardener f.e.) and then polishing a lot. i would suggest that a winter-job to do.

Why not have the inside of the detatchable panel lined? I had mine done and I think it cost about £40. I could have had it lined in hyde but that meant buying a whole skin for the trimmer to get a perfect match. The chap that did mine recommended a particular type of vinyl that is often used for the bolsters of seats and stitched alongside the seat panels. I always considered vinyl a second best but these materials have come on considerably over the years. One of the reasons for it being recommended was that it'd be more durable when the panel was stowed in the boot and after I'd hoofed in all my tools, shopping etc. My interior is one of the greys and I have a perfect match; it lightens up the interior and gives an impression of being 'finished'; far better than of previous. And NO! it doesn't smell of plazzy! [pic]http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y253[pic/]
