radiator overflow

Probably a stupid question but where is the overflow? Its a pre-serp with swirl tank on engine. cheers, John

On a pre Serp, with no expansion tank. If the water expands and needs to escape, it just comes out past the pressure cap on the swirl tank, and runs down the side

Similar thing happens on a Serp, its just that it runs down the side of the expansion tank
