Griff Tyre Pressures
Discussion
22front, 24 rear. It's in the manual!!! Failing that, contact toyo and ask their advice. They will probably say to keep them at the same pressure as stated in your manual. If you are going to do any tracking, or hard road driving, add 2psi front and rear. Firms up the tyre, but will make the handleing a little crisper!

24/26 as the Proxies are softer sidewall than Bridgestones which were OE. These pressure wear evenly on our Griff (about 15,000 miles on them now - S's and R's)but depends I guess on the setup. I'd try this first and see how you get on. 20/22 is far too low I would suggest.

FFG, Can I ask what tyre pressures you are using on the SP 9000's?
I'm running them as book pressures, but the Dunlop's seem to have a softer side wall than the S-02's that I replaced. So I was thinking of 24psi for the front instead of 22! Any ideas?

I meant to say 22 front 24 rear, which is what I put in the Blue each time. But I always get a mental block about tyre pressures, and have to check before I put air in any of my motors. Weird. Tyres are SP9000, too. Ian (Middlewich) gave Bluey a blast the other night and said it was the best standard Griff he'd been in and why did I ever think the Bilies needed changing, cos I must be one of the lucky few whose original shockers aint shocking, as he felt it handled beautifully. Allowing for Ian's hyperbole, I reckon he meant that the car drives well. So maybe the 22 front and 24 rear
are about right, too. Edited by shadowfax on Thursday 8th June 19:25

Running 24 in the Dunlops too. Seems fine and no apparent wear issue yet but need to keep an eye on them.

Don't think you are trying hard enough
Don't think you are trying hard enough

15,000 miles in total - on 3rd rear set and 3rd front although on different wheels so not sure how many we get from each set or am I that bothered as they are pretty cheap compared to most other items.. I know when we had a Chim some years back the rears were replaced every 6,000 miles.

Just put Toyo's on rear (SO2's on front). Many threads have said that they need to be run in but 200 miles now and still handles like a pig. A slight pull on the steering wheel and it feels like the backs going to come round on you. Quite scary. Am running 26 psi on rear and 22 front. Don't know whether to start playing with pressures or hope it comes together as they scrub in.
Thanks .... I'll bear with it a while longer. The oversteery / bit odd / springy words sum it up perfectly. Also worth noting that my splitter came off on the grass field car park last weekend at Shelsly Walsh. This could be contributing to instability at high speeds. Must get round to fitting it tomorrow.
