Help - window door adjustment

Hi

I bought a Griffith 500 last week. The drivers side glass stops a couple of mm below the top position and does not make a good seal with the roof.

I guess this should be possible to adjust - has anyone done this?

Also does anyone know where the door liner is fixed on. I will probably work it out tomorrow night but would welcome any pointers.

Really want it sorted before Le Mans.

This may not mean adjusting the window "up" position.
On mine, this gap can vary by the way the hood is on, crack the rear section window supports and wiggle the hood section slightly more toward the drivers side, put the rear supports back up and re check the gap.

If this doesnt work (I think it will) then the window height adjuster is a screw head which is visble by pulling the weather strip apart roughly in the middle of the window on the inside side of the door.

if you do a search of here and the chim section some body posted a pic showing the window adjuster if you need to take the panel off take the rear reflector off remove screw take speaker out theres one 10mm bolt at the front off the panel and 2 further along (you will have to get your arm in upto the elbow) then remove ashtray anr there should be a screw in side that.pull bottom out and push up then remove screws from inner panel sometimes there a bit hard to find depending on the trim

I don't think it is the roof because the glass is not reaching the top of the alloy channel as it does on the passenger side but will try that first.

As antonyj said - the bolt is visible (with window fully down) - a long thin flat head screw driver should be able to adjust without the need for taking anything apart. Try 4-5 rotations before putting window back up and checking gap for best fit.
