Removing rear carpets

When preparing the Griff for sprinting I currently remove the foot well carpets which are attached with bits of Velcro. I leave the rear carpets in place and bolt the race seat on top as per the normal raod seat which is not ideal as it laves a small amount of movement. I was considering removing the rear carpets as well and possibly using Velcro to attach them with. Has anybody done this already ? It appears to be very well fixed so thought I would ask first before ripping it out. I don’t want to destroy the carpet as when the sprint is over I revert the car back to normal road use.

having just replaced the carpet set,the bit that fits under the seat didnt come out to bad the only thing that you will have to be carefull with when lifting the carpet is near the holes wear the seat bolts go through. You have the washers that compact the carpet to the surface and mine had traces of silkaflex around the bottom of the carpet causing it to tear around the holes
