GRIFFITH 500 FRONT FOG

Hi folks.

Can anyone tell me where I might get a front nr side fog light for my Griff 500?

I think he's trying to tell you the bottom lights are not fog lights, they are your high beam lights - no really they are!

Try searching through this forum for Driving Lamps and I'm sure you'll find something about them.
Brace yourself though, they aren't cheap.

Mr Blue, looks like you drove at night without lights! That's quite a smash. Have you repaired her now? I don't as is happens do much night driving in the griff. The light is stone chipped and will fail an MOT, but I can't find a replacement.

Not sure if its any help, but mine just got through an MOT with cracked/chipped driving lamp glass. I don't think it matters if the light beam itself isn't scattered...depends on the MOT tester though as well I guess.

I didn't think high beam was an MOT issue, but may be wrong.

I believe the guidelines for MOT centres are that; If it is fitted it must conform to the rules.

So if the lense is cracked or chipped within the area of the beam of light or is in a location that causes light to be defracted it should be a failure.

Mine got through with a cracked Drivers light but with the amourfend holding it in place it may not look so bad... But saying that see my Caliper Q They passed the brakes too and look at them now

just had to buy one myself as i got gracked by a stone £70 from fernhursts but check the connections as i got sold spade ends but the originals were bullets

Mine has passed several MOTs with cracked driving light/high beam lenses.

Mine also has passed MOT with both main beam lights cracked too!

BTW, I drove mine for a while with a cracked lens, then cr*$*^d myself when I heard a nasty clattering sound doing about 50MPH when the lens came apart and the glass shattered under the car. I wouldn't drive around with it like that for too long!
