AirCon - does it make any sense ?

dear tivvers,

it´s getting pretty hot here in germany in the moment and that not only because of the WM. roundabaout 35 degrees celsius seem a little uncomfortable to me when driving my griff (still an everydays car). and i also wonder sometimes because the beast is still cooler to drive with the roof up and the windows closed. with the roof down i feel like a kind of heatshield. so my idea is simply to improve my griff with an aircon.

any ideas or suggestions ?

Does it make sense? Are you kidding!! You only have to turn the a/c off,to realise just how much difference it makes,i'd never be without it on any tiv now.I had it retro fitted to my last griff,and it was already there on the one i have presently.It's great to be able to have icy cold air chilling your toes and face in this weather,or,if you need to fill the boot,you can still drive around in complete comfort with the roof on.It's also much better for de-misting in the winter months too
It isn't cheap to retro fit-£3k-3.5k if you want it done as the factory did it,was what it cost me,but some of that cost was definately recouped when i sold the car later,as i got more for it than i paid from a dealer originally!

You can keep all your abs, traction control etc etc.... but aircon is the one softy option I'd have on a Griff.
