After a blat,especially in this hot weather I wait for the fans to cut off before turning off the ignition! Anyone else do this or am i being a little too fussy?!

As an alternative I tend to open the bonnet , it lets all the bits cool down equally and doesn’t drain the battery.

I've recently taken to opening the bonnet and letting the fans run for a bit. But thinking about it this weekend I came to the same conclusion as Quinny and I prefer the idea of letting everything cool down nice and steady rather than having cool(ish) air shoved over it - it's wierd how we are all thinking alike eh.

One other reason for lifting the bonnet is to protect the heatshield from being saturated and peeling off (yeah, like this is going to make any difference!)
