Clunking at the front

I have a clunking sound every time i go over a bump comming from under the front of the griff ,has anyone got any suggestions please

Could be anything!
Loose wishbone bolt
Shot wishbone bush(es)
Worn shock
Worn shock bush(es)
Loose brake caliper
Worn antiroll bar drop links
Worn antiroll bar bushes
...


Can you feel anything through the steering?
Does it still clunk if you're braking as you go over the bump?
Does it happen regardless of whether one wheel or both wheels go over the bump?

Thanks for your reply, feel nothing through the stearing.which ever wheel goes over the bump thats the one that clunks,new steve heaths drop links one year ago.

Have you been under and checked things, can you see that things like the drop links are still attached where they should be? You can do this with the car still on the ground so I'd have a poke about if I were you.

It's also worth getting a mate into the passenger seat and go for a drive. They can concentrate better than you on listening for the noise and where it's coming from.

I currently have same prob! All (in my case) down to upper wishbone bush just under the manifold....worn on both sides prob due to heat. The sound is almost like a sticky knock, if you follow and is really bugging me. Awaiting bushes at mo.

check the removeable crossmember bolts arent loose,this is the one by the exhaust 'y' piece.
