How to eat an elephant??

In small pieces ive ben told but what happens when your elephants got a bit of an attitude and rather large pieces of turd round its arse? well that'll be my car then! joking apart I just wanted to let the PH massive whats going on with my car.

* Servicing now all done and by myself nonetheless!! Plugs, silkolene, timing, etc, etc, etc
* Had my engine checked by the guy that built V8 engines at LR for 25 years and he was ecstatic (colleague of mine)
* Exhaust man gaskets, Done but what a game!! my hands are 11 inches accross span and it was NOT happening so my m8t Tom bailed me out with his tiny hands.
* precats seem to have gone awol Hmmmm
* Cooling now ok lagely thanks to a member from Glouces whos a legend.
* Leather, I had remarkable results with CIF ir JIF whatever but i fed it to death after, Mike I cant wait for you to see it!!
* Clutch, had a AP racing one fitted, jurys out on this as I might have issues with judder?
* Front fogs, got new set of the them will fit b4 growl.
* Same with rear light lense.
* Not that is needed but ive fitted an IPOD alpine headunit to free up space in boot.
* New battery from Lucas Yuasa in Brum.

I use B19 RUS everyday now on my 25 mile round trip as its the only car I have till my new car turns up at Christmas. I park it at BMW and really amuses me that it really is the fastest thing in the car park. that is till I get my next beastie?????????? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Slightly irregular post yeah but im happy with my fab car I know if i get stuck i can get support from u guyzzzzzz and of course mrs FFG.

Sorry if this is a bit over enthused but I am really happy with griff ownership at the mo, my car has not seen its roof for 3 weeks

Did you remove those pre-cats? If so, does it feel / sound / run any different without them?

Hi yes I did remove them. It was a bit of a chore and took a few hours but the benefits are.

* The car sounds great, slightly less muffled and a bit more Americany if u know what I mean?
* The underbonnet temp seems to lower itself faster when the cars parked up, Usefull if u have hot start issues?
* I feel the engine is more efficient without em, breathing, temp and possibly power(dont beat me up on the last one boys)

I Used a great big long blunt masonary drill and drilled thru the centre and the chiselled the honeycomb out by collapsing it inwards from the sides and it sort of peeled in. BUT DO DO wear a mask as the stuff in there was a bit moody also a good tip is to roll a ball bearing or a round pebble down each exhaust tube as the stuff can become lodged in there and shaking/blowing it out may not shift it (nice 1 Tom) Also before refitting I wire brushed the part where the precat was so I had no debris that could possibly break off and clog the main cat.
