1st post. Just bought the ocean haze publicity car. Sounds fantastic and goes like stink. Just wanted to introduce myself. Anything I need to know?

Hey Del - where are you coming from as there are a number of convoys being set up which you could join in so you dont feel lonely on the way there

Not sure what time I will be leaving so i'll make my own way there.
Car needs a respray so as i don't like the green too much I think I'll go for a yellow and have the front and rear lights converted at the same time. Any idea on bodyshops and shades of yellow?
No ruch to do the job just after some ideas.

Why didn't you buy a yellow one in the first place?

The fact that it is the Ocean Haze car is one of the main reasons the car is famous.

A bit like painting Nigel Mansells F1 car green with a blue number 5, if you get my drift.

You can't change the colour, that was the one driven by Rik Mayall across Blackpool beach in Dancing Queen, its like erasing history. Sell it and buy a Yellow one!!!!

I'm sure theres someone out there with a yellow Griff willing to do a swap for a piece of TVR history. Come along to the Growl and chat to the many owners who will be there.

If you HAVE to have a yellow one, why don't you swap with the guy selling the yellow '92 Motorshow car, if you have to have a famoue one, in yellow.

Better still, if you want to alter the car that much, why don't you sell it to somebody that will cherish the car as is, and go and get at Saxo or Nova, as I'm sure your money will find a much more deserving steed to be spent on.

I've just read this twice and can't believe he has said that, it must be a wind-up. Please don't contact me my car is not really yellow, its actually green, must be your eyes. And here's me trying to keep mine as original as possible, well at least the bits can be swapped back, and the Ocean Haze car is far more historical, I don't know some people!!!

I have to say that when I sold it to him it was a bit of a worry. I had spent thousands getting the car back to the pre-cat spec, as it appeared in the brochures and he wanted to put spoilers on it! I nearly didn't sell it to him! There was also something about a velour interior.........

If he turns up to the Growl, someone stop him pllllleeaaaaassssee!
