NEW GRIFF OWNER

Hi all

The story so far!! Bought a 97 griff 500 cat D in cool water blue.
Completely blown away by the quality and performance (having worked on a few Cobra reps) the car had a 370 mile trip on the day of purchase on a very hot day with no bother.

Problems so far (minor)

1.Changed plugs and removed 7 used and 1 brand new? (broken wire to number 1 injector) 80hp increase!!!probably

2.oil pressure wire loose causing a drop under load.

3.broke down on drive at home.Fuel pump wire fell off???.

4.steering joint replaced vast improvement.

5.suspension set up so now rides great.

6.scares the wife to death so now has to stay at home.

Even after these minor problems i love this car to bits and thought it was amazing before i knew it was on 7 instead of 8 (it did sound better tho).

Now i cannot begin to think what could ever replace it.

fantastic cars to drive and gorgeous to look at!

take it on the track when you are brave enough...

and the Mrs stays at home? took me 2 years to pull that one off. well done again

nice one mate, nothing makes you grin more than a griff, well apart from when my wife admits to being wrong.......... but that doesn`t happen very often!

Welcome to the fold.

I have had my S-reg Griff from new and still get excited looking at it, starting/listening to it and obviously most of all, wringing it's neck.

Also cannot think of a replacement (this side of £130k) that could bring as much pleasure.

Fantastic. Got the misses out of mine whithin one day by discovering what happens when you plant your accelerator into the carpet when the road is wet. Luckily no bill (££ or plod). Get it to the track as soon as you can.
