Griff 'Yawn'...I might live to regret this but...

...a few of us kicked the idea around of hooking up sometime in the darkest winter for a meet. The idea was

- Not a big meet with stands, exhibitors etc but rather a 'catch up' with people/friends we all met at this years Growl. Not expecting 125 Griffs !!
- Somewhere central-ish - I reckon along the mid Wales/England border might be good - Chester maybe??
- Meet up mid p.m. - if wet in the bar, if not then in the bar
- A few beers, some grub in the hotel/pub on the night
- Sunday breakfast then if nice, a run out - maybe across the border into Wales (great roads)!

Must admit i was thinking something similar Del.At first i thought Chester sounded good,but it would be nice to see all the Griffs from down south and Cornwall etc.Its pretty easy for me to go anywhere until as far as Scotland,so i'm easy,but perhaps some suggestions from others for a more central location would be in order,to be fair

Maybe best if we see where the majority concensus is from. Agree the more the merrier but if we're mainly darn sarf & midlands(ish) then maybe nearer the centre.
We're up for it.
If we went October sometime I think that would be best - before the clocks go back.

A couple of edits...
I note Hotels and October have been mentioned. The Final round of the Tuscan Challenge is at Oulton on 7th October, and Marc's Griff could be wrapping up Class B. There are plans a foot to have an end of season do at a hotel near Chester that evening too. Back in 2004 a similar thing happened for the final round of the TVRCC Challenge series, and a few Wedgers turned that into a mini-Wedgefest.
