Boot stuck

Help,

I have just tried to open the boot on my my griff (92 pre cat 4.3bv etc etc) and nothing. No opening no click nothing. She is ready for a good drink so help much appreciated.

I got the boot open but switch still doesnt work any ideas. Is this a common fault?

The soleniod under the two screws on the R/H side of the rear panel £9 Maplin

It's a 5 minute job.. If you dont have a any spade connectors and tool invest in one as they wont be the same

Also if the end of your release wire is mangled (you will understand what i'm on about when you see it) It's the same as the security wire B&Q use to padlock all the more expensive electricals

Thanks all job done. Half hour as the wire was mangled so I have to re make the ends.

I am aware of the way the manual says to open (or I think I've tried what it says), however, this does not seem to be working for me, any ideas, am I missing something obvious?

After reading this post i had a look in my boot. The plastic 'arm' that the emergency cable release fits in is broken. Hexham H C dont have any, does anyone know where i can get one ?
