Hi and thanks for the respnse. I know how good it is and that thats how I came to make my descision to useit but my original question was still stands how much on average have is needed for a griff roof?? put simply 500ml or 1000ml?

I bought the blue 1000ml kit for the griff, old fabric was not too faded so it only took one coat: Used about half: If yours is badly faded or marked and needs two coats the smaller bottle would probably not be enough:

Hi I purchased a 500ml. bottle of Dark Blue from Rimmers of Lincoln. (think thay do mail order it was about £17 with vat)Try Ive given my Griff 2 coats & still have some left!

I looked at the “AutoGlym” and “TurtleWax” equivalents in Halfrawds today. 20 and 18 quid and consist of a cleaner and proofing treatment, they don’t stock Renovo.

Anybody tried them, or has it got to be Renovo or nothing ?

I bought the 1000ml kit and have used it twice on an S3 and still have enough to do it again - but like others have said it depends how faded your roof is, once I had done it the first time it made such a difference that I then found I wanted to keep it looking good so do it about every 6 months, if you intend to keep the car a while you will probably want to keep the hood looking good so go for the bigger kit as its better value for money in that respect.

anyone tried non Renovo product as PH review was less than tempting and price is horrendous!

Evening all - I have just redone my hood in black using the Renovo and from my recent experience I would recommend using the 1 litre bottle as although this will probably provide three applications to a griff hood, I was not quick enough with the first coat and some minor tide marks could be sen so redid again and the end result was excellent.

Runs like hell by the way and does seem to flick everywhere, even with care in application.

Does improve the looks of the hood though and does give a uniform finish if allowed to dry fully (I fiddled with mine before it was dry and tried to touch it up in places and the touch ups really show so had to coat again).
