Help! central locking gone mad!!

96 Griff 500. My door lock on the passenger side seems to have gone into a spasm. As I drive down the road I can here the locks clicking constantly. Help has anyone any idea what the problem can be?

Could be the switch on the sill not making contact properly.Theres usually a small rubber pad on the door which contacts against the switch,when this pad falls off it can give problems like you describe.Also it could be that the switch is corroded,mine was very bad even though quite new.

Thanks Mike. you are right the pad on the door is split. I looked it up in my SH bible. Problem now temporarily fixed using double sided sticky pads!!
