Engine Mounts!

Just had the griff serviced at a reputable dealership in london. The engine mounts were changed but I noticed a lot of engine vibration on idle. They said that they have fitted the wrong engine mounts as they are too soft?? and will have to order them in. I have taken the Griff home but just wanted to check with you all if you think its still ok to drive as its fine at high revs but pretty rough on idle? Help please!!!

Both my engine mounts had disintegrated without me knowing. My chassis was holding the engine in and I was doing the normal everyday run.

Dont go mad and take it easy and get them fixed asap.

A couple months after my mounts were changed, there was a loud knock on start-up which seemed like gearbox noise. On exam, my Indy man noticed the exhaust manifold was hitting the chassis, further exam revealing a poorly resighted mounting bolt - a by then former employee having done the job. After adjustment it has been sound.

But the Boss did also comment on the unusually soft rubber mounts, with no suggestion of a need for change.

Sounds like a case of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'. How many times have we heard of Griffs in sound working order going in for a little work only to come out worse?
