Even with the heater contrtol down to cold, I still get absolutely no cold air on even a cold day once the engine has warmed up. I presume this is normal or do I need a new switch or something?

(Fan works etc as does demist control and air recirculator) Just always warm....
I do leave the window open so it's not too bad.

Er....sorry.....don't understand.....what do you want from the heater controls when you set them to cold????



Perhaps you want cold air???

Yup mine too..

2 settings, Red Hot and Blast Furnace.

For the furnace settings you must realise that the big dial in the dashboard - the one that goes from 1-6 in tandem with the noise from under the bonnet - is your heater control.........

There is an adjustment to get the valve to close properly, a small variable resistor on the valve itself, just turn until the valve closes. Of course there is then the heat build up in the engine bay that heats the inner wing where the air for the heater comes from.

If u want it colder turn heater to low and take roof off and shave head

Of course only good for this time of year.

I also found the fan for the driver only, allways blows cold compared to the main one.
Am i just lucky or is this normal.

Mine works fine (this is a first) though once its been set to hot it takes a while to cool down again, I guess this is because air is always drawn through the heater matrix and the hot to cold switch just stops the flow of hot water from the engine, therefore you have to wait until this has cooled to get the benefit of cold air.

If yours isn’t working and you can hear the motor turning the valve, then either the valve has failed or as David suggests the mechanism needs adjusting.

Ive found that if you turn it to cold before the engine heats up it stays cold but if you do it after its warmed up you've got no chance
