Roof seal conversion

I've got a '92 4.3 and whilst looking for new targa roof seals (the bits over the doors) I've been told the way to go is convert to the newer seal with a metal strip.
I've ordered the bits - spacer, metal strip, rubber seal - but could do with some help on how they all fit together.
Has anyone got pictures of this lot and how they fit?

This sounds like a good way to tidy up those old knakered flappy bits of rubber........ lets see how this turns out

I will be if I can find out about these door seals Paul. Especially as it looks like the weather is about to turn pants. Time to get back into the garage!

The way I understand it is..

This little baby is the seal. (and for some reason the website has it posted upside down as far as I can tell)

It runs down the side of the targa roof and the window winds up to it to form a seal.
Now you see the little wings at the bottom - well they slide into a metal channel (strip) which is screwed into the targa roof. Only it also needs a spacer (or maybe two I hear) to get it to align properly I assume.

I just thought all 500's had these Simpo so I was looking for someone who had maybe got a picture of it all.

The bit that sits in the roof section seems a lot more angular than the picture and fits pretty well from memory. The only issue is that it seems to slide itself forward and needs pulling back every now and again. The seal does need to be longer than the roof section to complete the seal though.

Does anyone know about this? Is there a spacer under that metal strip and how long is the strip on the roof - is it flush to each end or is it short/overhangs?
More importantly, does it actually seal?
