Or not as the case may be.
After having this damn thing partially addressed at almost every service and applying plenty of evo stick in between I'm sure there must be a better solution?
I'm not after an all singing all dancing electronic answer, just something a bit more solid than the standard offering.
Anyone have an option that is easy to fit and will actually hold say a few spare fuses, sunglasses and some CDs. I'm at the stage now where I am tempted to drive a couple of self tappers through it and close it for eternity.
PS - funny to see that the Tamora has the same mechanism, albeit when they give up the ghost the lid stays up rather than down!

Since then, i've just cheated slightly...tightened the hinge up slightly and use some sticky backed velcro. Was only going to be a temporary fix but seems to have stayed as it works ok.

Velcro - what a good idea. I'll check tomorrow but if you've fixed it up then there must be sufficient opposing edges to hold it together.
Then if it still drops at least she'll just moan that her stockings get ripped
Posted this loadsa times but here goes. The reason for the latch breaking is probably the male part not locating properly into the female part causing the male part to snap. The reason on mine was that the parts weren't flush when closed, so the male bit was knocking the edges of the females hole and snapping.
Here's a side view pic of what I mean (a bit disappointing after the description above )
On mine I fitted a washer to raise the front edge of the male bit and now it works properly and hasn't broken even when slammed.
