Help needed for removal of front indicators

I'm planning to replace the orange front indicators with the clear ones. Can anyone help me with some tips for removal without damaging the paintwork? Thanks, Marc.

use a mallet........


Not to hit them with, hold the head of the mallet and push the base of the shaft into the lense, slowly and firmyl, keep applying pressure and they should push in.....

Just to be completely clear which way to push: do I have to push from the inside (of the indicator) outwards or the other way around.

Push from the front so the indicator falls into the wing, then retrieve from behind the grill.
