Who? It was 'dan' and 'pebbledash'.
Where? Yup, it's Cheddar Gorge.
Why? Any old excuse!

The acoustics in the Gorge are so darned addictive we are thinking of forming a 'splinter group' of V8 junkies

I think Nacnud has some sound bites of a previous run through the gorge (SEAC/Griff) on the TVRCC-Bristol website downloads page.

from memory these are more resonant burbling rather that balls out stuff....

Beautiful pitcures, put the fogs ( or drinving lamps ) reminded me of a question I had.

Should they be wired up to the full beam only.

Mine only come on on full beam. The MOT tester was scratching his head a bit so I told him all Griffs were like this. Is it true?

Mine are full beam only - I thought this was normal?

Edited to say: thought so

They are the main beam AFAIK there is no main beam filament in the other light units, only the dip and sidelight..

The 'Driving' lights in the shots were for photographic effect (yes we did know Nacnud was there, as we had dropped him off). I'd like to point out that neither pebbledash or myself usually drive round with them on.

I am fairly sure that they are the 'Main beam' on all Griffs with the pods being 'dipped beam' and sidelights.

Having said that they are only 3 candle power and are customarily set so you have one tracking for incoming Heinkels, and the other is for illuminating insects a fraction of a second before they get squished by bridgestones finest. So they tend not to bother other motorists even if you do forget to turn them off.
