fans no go off

Tried to search for the subject but seems to be something up with search engine at the moment.
1999 Griff 500. My fans won't switch off when the engine is cooled enough. Everything seems fine with the otter switch and fans come on at correct temperature, but then just stay on. They go off ok when I turn the ignition off . I have an overide switch which also is fine turning on but will not turn them off( it used too). I had a a garage do my MOT and they replaced the headlight bulbs with 100watt ones and am wondering if they have disturbed a connection. any ideas? The bible only seems to deal with fans that don't come on.

Check the fan relays and bin the 100watt lamps for some decent 60/55 Zenon bulbs or you will cook the wiring and discolour the headlamp reflector due to the heat.
Amen to that, far too much heat/power (watts is volts x amps remember) going through there. Hope you've sorted it now
