Another low oil pressure !!

After reading the thread on oil viscosity i thought i would share my low pressure problem.This is a pic of my stuck relief valve.

Now that does cause no oil pressure




it should look like this



It was reading strange pressures the day before and the next day i started it it had no pressure but was quickly turned off!!!

£118 from RPI's ebay shop for the pump base,gasket, gears and pressure switch.Normal pressure is now resumed .

WOW that was lucky looking at the scoring on that face plate,looks like you have had some nasties in the oil at one stage,poss a cam failure at one point.

I would go for the JE engineering Tadpole type relief valve, it will never stick again.

I have heard differing reports on these, so i stayed clear.I guess the original cant be that bad??
