Brakes on a Griffith 500

could someone please tell me what are the brakes on a Griff 500 and where is the cheapset place to get them

Escort RS turbo supply the 260mm fronts i believe.

Any decent motor factors will have the pads in stock.

260mm discs - Escort MK4 RS Turbo 86-91 and also Escort MK5 RS 2000 2wd/4wd 91-96
240mm discs - Seirra sapphire XR4i 2.0 non abs 90-91
The rears are;
273mm(vented) - Escort MK5 RS Cosworth 4wd 92-96 or Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth 4wd 90-94
253mm(solid) - Seirra Sapphire 2.0 85-93

Not sure about the cheapest source although i got reconditioned calliper from tvrcarparts for about £75 ea.

The calipers on a 500 griff are from a sierra cosworth as are the discs, and are more than capable of pulling up a lighter car such as the Griff.
saying that i fitted ebc discs and ceramic pads (red stuff) on the front and green stuff on the back excellent, the calipers I overhauled the car now stops extremly well

sierra cosworth are 278mm or 283mm discs, sounds like yours may have been upgraded??
