Door gremlin

This afternoon whilst loading the car, the drivier's door popped open & then refused to close shut. A pal taped it up so I could get back home, which was fine.
Got out passenger side, took all tape off. Door better again hey presto. Anyone recognise this gremlin? Wd like it not to happen again!

happened to me after retrim, the fitter had not adjusted the door lever correctly on the tunnel.

it may be that your cable on the drivers door has stretched or become loose....i found that the problem is the handle/cable not the door latch.

Likely to be the cable sticking. If the tunnel trim has been disturbed at sometime then the cable may be slightly trapped, it needs to have as smooth a run as possible between the door handle and door latch.

I had this happen once, it only did it occasionally if the handle was pulled RIGHT back, if it was pulled only enough to open the door then released it never happened.

Cable was trapped and when released all was well again.
