Views on new exhaust.......

Had a new ACT S/S cheery bomb exhaust fitted today and it has made the following changes to the car...
Plus Point
Eratic idilling has stopped,
Also when stopping revs drop to 1500, then slowly down to about 850 where previously they stuck any where between 1500 - 2000
Its all nice and shiny
Down Side
No more flames (not that I'm aware off) or big bangs
Mixed Feelings
Sounds more refined and not like my old agricultural spitfire
My old exhaust once it was off had about foot of perforated corrision along the top of one of the pipes as it left the silencer box.
All I've got to do now is get the extender pipes cleaned up, retapped and dyied and fitted (odd thing is that they are two completely differnt lentghs)
Just some findings from an old exhaust well past its best compared to a new one

Wot! No more trademark "accoustics" from your car!!! 
Refined sounds good, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you'll have your P & J popping and banging again! Edited by Hotwire on Wednesday 11th October 22:42
