fan problem

noticed latley that when i park and do the usual of putting the roof back on before switching of that the fans are'nt kicking in, when the car is up to temp, but if i switch the engine of and turn the ignition back on the fans start up, just wondering whot the problem might be.....

Hi Martin,

I will give you my tuppence worth mate..

Check the fan connections first they have a habit of corroding or even working loose and its just an intermittent fault.
Has the pre-cat got fan relays...? have'nt got my bible to hand..
I would imagine it has so check these are tight too..

Next port of call would probably be otter switch.. try shorting to see if fans come on.

Hope that gives you a start mate I'm sure someone will come along soon and add advice...
