griff needs new carpets

Hi

Anybody know where i can get a new full set of interior carpets for a 2001 Y reg Griff?

The dealer says he cant get them and mine are sunbleached.

Used KRJ trimmers (formerly Martrim) to supply full carpet set for Griff 500 recently.Took me 4 days to put in but fit and look the dogs.Cost just over £500 delivered.Would recommend giving them a call.01606 834480..................Simon.

I got a set for my 94 Griff from Coverdale and fitted them myself, quite straight-froward and the end result is well worth the hard work, the quality of the carpets seems good too. I would certainly use them again.

Thanks for those further tips chaps, sounds a lot better than the £1000 ive just been quoted by a dealer!.

Think i will do it myself.

used coverdale for mine and fitted myself,,,all materials including glue etc came in around the £300 mark, this year,,, probably took around a week of nights and a weekend,,

Ok i have had a good look at the photos now, im a bit concerned by having to take the roof off though. Is it difficult to do?.

Also do you need spray glue to efit the new carpet?

Yes you do need to unbolt the rear section of the roof, it is just four bolts on the inside of the boot above the fuel tank area and a couple of screws on the inside and then i just taped it to the top bar, not that hard but just fiddley,
i used a good 3 to 4 cans of spay glue to put my carpet set in, probably the hardest bit of the job is doing the drivers footwell, it would probably pay to do a few lessons of yoga first, and thats with the seats taken out.

like all jobs its the time, thought and the preparation that counts

Hi.it's up to you but i managed to fit carpets no problem with roof left on.Obviously removed pivot bolts,roof struts and the two screws visible both sides of pivot bolts.It's fiddly and you need to support roof in raised position but it's better than taking the roof off.Just leave enough carpet to tuck up underneath trim,there is plenty of room.......Good luck ......Simon.

Hmm, i may attempt that. Sound better than taking the roof off. Im always paranoid about water ingress when it comes to messing with roof`s that currently dont leak.

I suppose the other option is a carpet colour match dye!, anybody tried this?.
