Occasional *cough* when cold

Just had my Griff serviced at a well respected Indie( 99/V 51000 miles/ 6 k service)Also had new dizzy cap rotor arm and Magnecor leads and extenders fitted.( thought they would probably want doing after 51k and 7 yrs)I now get an occasional cough as its warms up.Seems to just completely *die* for a split second and then carries on luverly.Might do this 4 or 5 times in about the first 20 mins of driving then completely OK.Does it as you accelerate or as you ease back down on the throttle after a bend or just at a constant speed .Not really a problem just niggling me a bit.Its never missed a beat in the 18k before that( 33k-51k ).Any ideas?

Hi,
seeing as the problem appeared after you had new leads and plug extenders I would make sure all HT leads and extenders are pushed all the way home at both ends.

I'm sure your respected indie would appreciate a chance to fix the problem, since it sarted immediately after they worked on the car.

I'm sure they would but its a 50 mile drive by which time the car would be red hot and running ok meaning I'd have to leave it with them thus making two 100mile round trips plus fuel/time off work etc etc I'd probably rather live with it for now and see whether it develops or cures itself.
Looks like I might have to phone them just to get their view on it though.Would of thought a loose lead would of caused a misfire rather than a complete dead moment.

Could try checking the plug on the ignition module, mine did that coughing before it died all together on the M20, turned out to be a bad connection at the module.
