Hi,
That sounds like the Griff I used to own until January this year. I was driven in to and shoved across a central reservation. The insurance company couldn't be bothered to do the work so paid me out instead. The registration used to be S50 TVR, but I now have that on retention, and the colour is Halcyon Midas Pearl. Have a look at my profile and there should be a couple of photos up there.

It could well be the same car because mine was only damaged at the front. The quotes to repair were still high though so the insurance company just decided to cut their losses and pay me out. I've got some photos which I'll now attempt to display here!

Oh well that hasn't quite worked out but I think you can still follow the links and see the pics. The damage wasn't at all bad. Colour is definitely Halcyon Midas Pearl and black interior with the dials back lit in yellow and I would guess about 13k miles. No spare tyre probably either because I seem to remember throwing it out as I could never get the roof in the boot with the tyre in there as well.. Just also remembered that the keys have the name of the original dealer on them as this was a demonstrator car for a well known TVR dealer in the South..

I placed an add on PH a couple of months ago.
I bought this car for my wife from Mole valley in late 2001, chopping in our previous griff.It had been their demo and was registered in Jan 2000. The car had done 2000 miles and we transferred our plate S50 TVR to it.
The colour is Halcyon midas pearl, interior is Prussian blue with yellow dials and stitching.
My wife's sister died suddenly in March 2002 and we had to go to South Africa to sort out the mess.
We sold it to a guy called Adrian Allen, with 5000 miles on it and with the plate in place.
He subsequently sold it on again at 8000 miles to a guy called Tim in Tunbridge wells who sold it at 10000 miles to Mark the last owner, who had it until Jan this year, when it was damaged at 13000 miles.
The car ended up at PW Wood in colchester, and he said it was easily repairable, however the insurance company were not interested and paid out in full(21 Grand)
I have found this out after placing the ad on PH
The car should be restored to it's former glory, as it was one of the best Griffs built. Rob Ingelby said it had a very unusual feeling of solidity about it and it drove fantastically.
We had the sports exhaust fitted(it sounds like a 1950's V8 speedboat at tickover).
Without getting too sentimental about it, you should all know that my wife wants her back. Her name is Delores.
My daughter, who was four on 7th October this year was conceived in this car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My missus is the contortionist. Suffice to sy the roof was off and we were on a deserted beach carpark near Arromanches where the Normandy landings took place in 1944.
No disrespect to Private Ryan and his mates!
I found out yesterday that the guy intends to keep the car, so, in the spirit of those Normandy heroes, onwards and upwards,I looked at a 500LE at Castle TVR yesterday. For 20k with warranty it's a fair price with 18800 miles,FSH and will be fully serviced,prepped, etc.
Problem is........................the colour. It's reflex purple and I can't seem to get my head around it.
The interior is really nice, magnolia with dark blue carpets and door cards, so I may well buy it and repaint it in Rolex blue.
